Natural Family Planning (NFP) reflects the dignity of the human person within the context of marriage and family life, promotes openness to life and recognizes the value of the child. By respecting the love-giving and life-giving nature of marriage, NFP can enrich the bond between husband and wife.
To learn more about the historic development, moral theology, and scientific research behind natural family planning, visit the USCCB NFP Resource Page.

Congratulations! If you attend an Archdiocesan marriage preparation retreat, you should receive information and/or a presentation from medical professionals and married couples who use NFP. Then you can register for your own class to learn the practicals of charting your fertility and planning for your family. You should plan to take your NFP instruction at least 3 months prior to your wedding.
If you are a pastoral leader who is meeting with an engaged couple preparing for marriage, feel free to download and share this brochure with them when you meet.
Thank you for your dedication to supporting the mission of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Employees who are on the Archdiocesan insurance plan may be eligible for reimbursement of their NFP related expenses. Visit the Human Resources Office employee benefits page for more information. https://www.archindy.org/hr/benefits-work.html
